Default does those dyno wideband change readings with a CAT???

ok maybe i'm stupid but i think the CAT changes the emissions, thus changing the a/f reading of the wideband.... i think the dyno guy may have htought that i run no CAT so he just put it in my tail pipe...

so does the CAT changes the readings of the wideband?? if yes, does it make the readings more lean or more rich??? so like if the cat makes the readings more lean, thus i'm actually running richer than i am so that's actually safer... help me out@!

If the guy put it in your tailpipe, you are most likely running rich as ****.

13 is still rich. You would'nt blow your motor at 13. 14.7 is the stoichometrically(sp) correct. 13.6 is where a turbo makes the most power.

I thought the leanest you want to go is 12.5:1 a/f? Isn't 13:1 pushing it?

12.5 is still rich...the lower the numbers the richer it is. The higher the numbers the leaner it is.

ok my a/f based on the dyno tune is like 12.2-12.9, spiking ONCE to 13.3 or something (might be wrong spike as well)

i dunno, so how much does the cat "filter" out?? maybe i'm sitll running 11.xxx?

I wish I could help you out, but I don't have a cat and can't tell ya. Somebody help this guy out. You could just take it back to the shop and tell them that you want it tuned correctly. Honestly that is what I would do. Best of luck man!

the guy probably wants to save his *** and say "no, there's no diff"

think, if u were a shop owner, would u want to waste your time $$$ to re tune some guy??? you'll probably take your customer as an idiot not knowing about what a cat really does or how a wideband 02 sensor works.....

BTW, notice the obd2 has 2 02 sensors, one before and 1 after the cat?!?!? you know why?? cuz there are DIFFERENT 02 readings!!!!! so it must change

You are correct that they do change, but all you have to do is tell the shop owner that you are going to report him to the better business beruea. Im pretty sure his tune will change. Some shop owners are cool, just go have a talk with him to see if he is willing to work with you.
