Default Open down pipe

Any one running a 3" open d/p on the street daily? Is it real loud?

its not worth it for the street, get it an e-cut out or just run a 3" exhaust/straight pipe

I loved the sound of my open downpipe but hated the fact i would get a head ache from driving 30 mins. I put a 3" summit glasspack muffler to a turndown to lighten the tone a little. Helped out more than i thought it would.

Ive had 6turbo cars, so i think id know. Its quiter, especially with a straight through muffler at the end. And it doesnt smell as bed since its exiting the rear.

Open downpipe is the epitome of obnoxious. It sounds wicked especially hearing the turbo wind down but stinking like exhaust fumes after a short drive gets old quick.

i think that would be the only reason i would change to a full exhaust, or atleast dump it further down or on the pass. side. the sound is like music, especially hearing the turbo whine.

Yes and Yes. Very loud actually, but if you're like me, you'll think it sounds awsome. Unfortunantly, the cops hear the same thing

I drove around the block a few days ago with an open 3" dp and that was all I could take. I almost vomited from the fumes. Plus I can't imagine driving a full day like that in CA without getting pulled over and beaten by the cops.
