One-Fab strikes again.
Short and sweet. One fab manifold, $950, 3 months worth of waiting, 1000 miles of use later.

Yes it was braced and it cracked @ 500 miles, lesson learned. Left unbraced it cracked again 500 miles later.
Have a nice day.

You paid $950 for that? Ouch.
That manifold was welded BY Matt. He used to fuse weld without adding any filler on one single pass... that obviously is one of those manifolds.
Later, before his demise, he had other guys welding his manifolds for him. 2-3 passes and much thicker, consistent welds. Here is a picture of my top-mount from him:

Sorry to see that, though. Good luck with your next manifold.

I'm surprised that even was welded with enough amperage to melt the damn filler wire. Yeah, truly 10% penetration if your lucky.
Sucks too cause that's a pretty nice design.

There was no filler wire, it was fusion welded.

my one-fab top mount wastegate fell off after about 10 miles and 6 passes on the track, had that re welded then the runners started cracking off, sent it to one fab and that was that, its gone now

Did your top-mount look exactly like mine above? Same welds? I can't see those cracking.

What material is that head flange? 1000 miles and it looks like it went through 5 WI winters!
When you get it re-welded, I'd suggest going over EACH and EVERY other weld to make sure.

Great, I have a one-*** manifold that I havn't used yet, but I built all of my piping to be used with it. Now is there any way to prevent it from cracking without cutting the whole thing appart and beveling and welding it?

Seriously...I was one day away from placing an order with Matt when I saw the first thread pop up...after that I was like "expletive that" and went Full-Race. Couldn't be happier.

Anyone know what hes doing now-a-days? Jail or what?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I heard he got 32 stitches in his ***, this is his third visit for the same injury!
LOL , I hope this is happening to him at least!
I heard also he is called Mr Bill, since his mouth is permanently stretched wide open. Again we can DREAM can't we of the impending pain and suffering that Matt deserves!
