Default Which one?

i have the ability to swap trannies with my brother who has a brand spanking new type r tranny in his 600 WHP turbo B17A powered civic......he wants my gs-r tranny with 35,000 miles on it..................now i'm going turbo soon
but ill keep it reasonably boosted at like 350 hp.................so should I get it or keep the gs-r for better turbo gearing??????????

Neither.......if you going turbo, you want a LS tranny.

IF your going to choose one of those two, get the GSR for boost. But an LS tranny is better then both

Take the small price difference.. and get your self the better portion of a turbo kit.

swap with him , sell the the type r tranny and get and ls tranny with a quaiffe.

i'd take a type-r tranny over the ls tranny anyday
the type-r is faster on the street....

gears are everything. Type R baby. If you've got traction, the LS tranny will only slow you down. All the big boys use the shortest gears they can find.

It all depends on how much boost you are planning on running. If you're not planning on run like 15psi+ then I say, keep the GSR tranny. If you plan on running more boost, then put a LS F/D and LSD in the GSR tranny.

THANK YOU geez I am sick of these people talking about an LS tranny "keeping you in boost longer..." HELLO - the longer you're in one gear, the slower you're accelerating. Shorter gears = faster acceleration. No matter what.

i plan on keeping my gs-r at around 350-400 horse because it's a daily driver..................so i should I just go with the type r for acceleration??????????

i dont agree with going slower by staying in 3 rd gear longer but whatever. you can get by the shorter gearing by extending your revlimiter. your not racing competitively so you'll be alright with that. i'm sure you'll blow most anything off the street.
