i have the ability to swap trannies with my brother who has a brand spanking new type r tranny in his 600 WHP turbo B17A powered civic......he wants my gs-r tranny with 35,000 miles on it..................now i'm going turbo soon
but ill keep it reasonably boosted at like 350 hp.................so should I get it or keep the gs-r for better turbo gearing??????????

yes. sell the type r tranns and get an ls with an LSD. when you start hitting those high boost/hp numbers youll be happy

gears are everything. Type R baby. If you've got traction, the LS tranny will only slow you down. All the big boys use the shortest gears they can find.

i dont agree with going slower by staying in 3 rd gear longer but whatever. you can get by the shorter gearing by extending your revlimiter. your not racing competitively so you'll be alright with that. i'm sure you'll blow most anything off the street.
