Anybody ever have a map sensor mysterously die?
I changed my headgasket and valvetrain over the winter and started it for the first time today. It ran terribly and when I hooked the laptop up to the ECU I noticed the MAP sensor was stuck at a constant voltage. I bench tested the sensor and voltage does not vary with pressure at all. Its stuck at 1.18v which is 0psi regardless of reference pressure. The orifice is not clogged.
I swapped in my stock MAP sensor and that is fine for now. Is this common?

I have never had one fail on any of my customer's cars.
Luckily for you they have a no questions asked warranty & great customer service.
Contact who ever you bought the sensor from for a replacement.
