Default OMG! The time to prepare for Boost has come!

I have just gotten news from the shop working on my engine that my heads are toast! Scored and the cam is gone too, tommorow I find out about the block. So I am going to go B18, not sure whether or not to go LS or GSR though, we'll see. Probably LS cause I have a friend who can hook me up with an LS head and cams for cheap. I am taking out a $5000 loan just for the engine to be built and bought, is $5000 enough?

if you plan on running mad boost(i think you are since you are talking about rebuilding internals)you better be prepared to spend like another 5000 for a COMPLETE kit-> meaning the kit itself, bigger injectors, standalone, cat, gauges, ect. also, upgrades on the turbo kits themselves(wastegate, ect.)oh yeah, clutch too!then you got the labor fees(if u dont know how to do it) and tuning fees. very very expensive. make sure you know what your getting yourself into!!!!!
but yeah, 5000 seems like enough for your engine and rebuild.anyone correct me if im wrong!

I am ready to spend that much, not worried about it at all. The only money on labor I will be spending is to have my engine rebuilt. Yes complete rebuild, valvetrain strengthning the whole nine yards.

Your Honda engine has more than one head?

5k should be enough, but you might be cutting it a little close depending on labor costs(if you dont know how to do it). gl man.

Constructive comments would be comments relating to the original question of whether or not $5000 is enough to buy an LS block and get it built. I believe I would be getting an exhaust manifold if I were to be going turbo. Seeing as I have one HEAD I would have a HEADER if I was going NA.
