Default Old turbo condition

I'm currently building a HMT setup.
Today I came upon this deal accidentally but its good I guess.

My college auto teacher has a 91 mercury capri turbo sitting out in the lot that he doesn't want anymore. It has 91k miles and a blown headgasket. someone donated it to the university and they dont want it so he said I could have it.

so I went out and checked everything out and decided to pull the turbo really quick. I had seen the car run before the headgasket went and it seemed decent.

so now I am looking at this turbo and I want to know if its usable. I have read ways to check condition but I want to see what you guys think about a few things. I haven't cleaned it up in any way.

First of all the specs:
IHI RHB5
it has a little square plate on it (see pics) that says:
TURBO SPEC: VJ14 9007
SERIAL NO. RHB527132A
PARTS NO. B6E8

1) it seems a little different from the ford probe type that I have seen in pics. Anybody know anything about this turbo or if its the same?

2) Is the flange just the normal IHI RHB5 flange? and is the correct adapter for a STD manifold available?

thanks for your help everyone and sorry about the long post, I'm just somewhat new to turbos

I really appriciate any help

also I got the intercooler of the car so I have that out of the way

Looks just like a rhb5(8psi), i got off a probe.

Besides the oil line, does it have a coolant line?

If so i would say its the same....

Anyone?

Yeah it looks just like the ford probe turbo. The probe turbo is a RHB5 VJ11, not a VJ14 though. It looks EXACTLY like the VJ11 I sold last week on ebay though.

haha thats about exactly what I was thinking. the shaft play side to side is minimal and there isn't any in and out. also I took off the exhaust flange and their isn't any cracks in the exhaust housing, not even where the bypass valve hole is.

anybody want to comment on condtion or value?
