So, I ordered JE Pistons 9:1 and some Eagle rods. The question is, I was told to use emory (sp?) cloth to smooth the sharp edges then clean the pistons. What is an emory cloth and can I just pick it up at Pep Boys? Then I am suppose to clean it to make sure all residue is removed. What solvent am I using to do this? Well that's about all the questions I have (for now anyway hehe). Thanks guys.

emory clotch is very fine clotch you can get at any ahrdware store or craft store. Second off the solvent you need to clean with is alky rubbing pads works well.

Ah thanks. Just rubbing alcohol will do? I think I have that somewhere. But how can fine cloth get out the sharp edges?

Emry is another name for sanding paper. Good engine builders smoothen the sharp edges to eliminate hot spots. I,m not sure what grade paper they use though.

Ok I have some ultra fine (600 grit) and super fine (400 grit) at home. I guess I can start with those and see how it works out. I hope I don't screw something up.
