Ok, Hondata Lambda conversion thing
Every time I put voltate / lambda numbers in the table and reload Rom editor, the thing rounds them all down to the nearest number. Lots of them end up being the same...for example, for the voltage ranges that map AFR 12.2:1 to 13.2:1, rom editor decides that these all actually equal lambda .80. That's a nice gesture and all, but 12.2 is a long way from 13.2. Why is it changing the numbers I enter?
I got so tired of re-typing the numbers in that I made a .reg file to import to overwrite the settings in Rom editor. Also, if you click the dropdown in the conversion thing and pick like Motec or Horiba, it overwrites all of the custom values you have entered.
http://rely.net/~dustin/wb.reg
Those are the values I ACTUALLY want to import.... ahhh
Also, for some reason, if you are in rom editor and pick 'air/fuel' instead of lambda, it is nice and multiplies all the values times 14.7 for you. In HondaLogger, it doesn't do this. It always shows lambda (at least for me).

dustin,
thats a definite bug in the program.
you can't use the "custom" setting as it won't hold any numbers.
You have to use the horriba. I enter mine as lambda values not A:F values and they hold what I put in.
I too made reg files (one for windows xp and another for win98/ME as they are different).

Re: Ok, Hondata Lambda conversion thing (GruvyTune)
If I try to type in the Horiba or Motec ones, it automatically sets me to custom. NOTHING I do will hold the stupid numbers!
And the hondata forum is down
Maybe Doug should run the Hondata forum on ZeroForum
I have Delphi, maybe the hondata software should be open source (yeah right) hehe

Hey Dustin I'm not smart enough to figure it out from your reg file, but is the voltage to lambda conversion linear on your wideband? If so, just put the beginning and ending voltages and I believe the software will interpolate correctly...
I haven't tried hooking up my wideband to my hondata yet, i hope i don't run into these same problems! It'd be real nice if hondata released a romeditor 2.6 to fix some of the minor bugs in 2.5, since it sounds like 3.0 is a long ways off...

Re: Ok, Hondata Lambda conversion thing (dustin)
Having the same problem as you guys...i can't download that registry file you made dustin..doesn't exist anymore...anyone come up with someone good for this problem yet?
I just searched the registry.....found the defailt in there in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hondata\Settings\Lambd a
Anyone know if i could broden the resolution by adding keys? It goes from 0-11 now...pretty weak. Like dustin said its not enough since it wants to round. I'd like to add at least 20 so i could input each tenth of a volt...
Arg..it overwrites those registry values everytime you restart the program....guess i need to start it then import a registry file..dont know how to make one... anyone?
