Default oil on spark plug...

I found some oil on the tread of the plug(cylinder1)... no smoke though. It only occurs in cylinder 1. Did a compression test and the result are good 230, 225, 230, 230. I chaged the valve cover gasket and the 4 rubber spark plug gaskets and still no cigar. Any thought?? when I chage it with a new plug I see it start from the base of the plug...then to the tread and to the tip... Any thoughts or suggestion.

As a matter of fact, I switch to synthetic oil (mobil1 10w30) a month ago...could it be the oil???

My plugs always have oil on the threads... but I am sure mine is from the valve cover leaking. Are you sure it is not leaking still?

Oil on the threads is almost always caused by a leak above the plugs.
