Default oil sender size...

I did a search and couldn't find anything on the size of the oil sending unit. what kind of socket would I need to get it off. Also, do I need to unplug it before taking it off. If so, how do I unplug, I couldn't really get the rubber boot off of it. thanks again

on a D series it is right above the oil filter, takes a 23 or 24mm socket.. You will then need to buy a 1/8 NPT (pipe thread) brass 3 way T and a 1/8 NPT nipple (i like nipples)

just put it all on there and boost the hell out of her..

Oh yeah use rtv or teflon to seal it.. all else fails JB weld

Jeremy

(edit)....rubber boot...its hard you gotta give it hell and pull it off ..thats about it

The proper thread is 1/8 BSPT. You can get the adapter from mcmaster-carr supply.

And if you're tapping for a turbo supply, mount that **** on the firewall.

You will need a deep 24mm socket for the sensor.

The boot is probably rotted, but it just pulls off
