oil return line? size?

oil return line? size?
i currently have a 3/8" oil return and it's gettin backed up and leaking out and burning off on my downpipe...the local shop said to go about 1/2" oil return line...does that sound about right? thanks

Go -10 or -12.
-8 or smaller can often times be too small and not drain away sufficiently causing the oil to backup into the turbo and leak into the turbine area causing smoking...
