Atpturbo wants way too much for their restrictors, where can I get one at a reasonable price. $30 is insane for such a thing.

Forget that lever deal... then you really need a gauge to monitor it or just tweak it until you "think" you have it right.

Just get an inline fitting....

Will cost you like 8 bucks shipped and then just drill the hole out a hair, I want to say a 1/16th drill bit will do the job? Search around for the ideal size, i don't trust my memory on the drill size. Its a brass piece, so the hole is very very easy to drill.

Then you have something you install and never have to think about again.

Would I need one of these for my sc50 turbo? Or are these only for bb turbos?

you only really need them if you run a -4an oil line

if you run a -3an oil line you are fine

Even on motors seeing 80+psi? I have a standard bearing t04e that I want to put on, wont that be too much pressure?

I got a stealthmode oil line kit from LSD motorsports. I don't know what size it is...

Should be -3an from the block to the turbo. That's what I have!

I have heard of people just putting a spot weld on the turbo oil fitting and then drilling it out to the size they want. If you have a welder and a drill then its a free oil line restrictor

this one is 21 shipped but its nice imo, low profile. I tried apt turbo restrictor+1/8" to 1/4" bushing + 1/8" to -3an 90 and it hit my manifold.

I need to post a pic of my setup. I have a vf39 subaru turbo on my honda and i couldn't find a m10x1.5 to -3an fitting to save my life. So I went ahead and used the stock vf39 banjo bolt and ordered a 90 degree banjo to -3an fitting. Works great and since its a banjo bolt its pretty much like having a built in restrictor. The bolt hold is tiny.

yes USE This drill out to 1/16 and you are good to go!!!!!!

If you are running a -3 you shouldn't need a restrictor on a journal bearing turbo.

Or you jsut use the stock fitting that goes into your turbo and you hit it flat on with a hammer and the center folds/presses in

Then you take your 1/16" drill and drill through it

I went from 45psi at the turbo to 15-17 and it only took about 30 min. and it was free....

mine was free, I just took a normal 'dot-l' (basically an 1/8" npt 90), welded it shut and drilled an orifice into it. cost = nothing

Don't buy into that 3-an line BS and you'll be fine. Just spend the extra money and get a restrictor. It won't hurt anything, and it gives you piece of mind.
