Default Oil Pump ?

Application: B16A1 Swaped into a CRX

We are building a fully built turbo engine and putting in a new oil pump. What year / model / make do we order the pump for?

I did see the KMS has an upgrade but not sure if that is worth the cash.

Thanks again, J

OEM (Honda) B16 pump is perfect.Oil pumps rarely wear out. They are usually good or broken in several pieces

most folks tend to lean toward the ITR oil pump. any year Integra Type R will work, 1997-2001.

Acura Carland is a great place to find OEM parts cheaper than at dealerships. there may be other places i don't know about, but i've had nothing but good experiences dealing with carland.

Wow...
I guess I have to get detailed. From what I have been able to tell there are two pumps being offered by Honda for a B series now.OBD1 & OBD2.The difference is the lower belt cover fitment. All the parts are vtec spec now (increased spring pressure). The part number for a OBD1 (pre 1996) is 15100-pr3-024 which should be the one you need if it still has the original cover (no crank sensor).Endyn sells a modified oem pump that people have had good luck with. That's the only one I would recommend other than just a stock oem unit. The only problem with Honda pumps is gear breakage and it can happen to a new one or 200k.The best guess on that issue is harmonics.Prodrive makes a improved gear but those have broken also.
I hope my answer was complete enough for you.
