Default oil pressure question...Searched

Just wanted to see if my setup was wrong...I have a b16a2 with 9:1 pistons and before i put the turbo in i was running above 60psi (oil pressure) above 3k rpm and now when i added the turbo feed my gauge is only reading about 40-45 above 3k. I wanted to know if i should relocate my sending unit. Right now i have a feed line comin out of the block to the firewall which is where i mounted the sending unit. From the firewall i have a t-fitting for the turbo feed line also. Is this why my pressure is reading lower?

If I'm reading your post correctly, you're saying that you're drawing oil to lubricate your turbo from the same fitting that you use to take oil pressure for your gauge?

If this is the case, then yes, I'd try using a different oil source for either one of the two.

yea...its basically a t-fitting off of where the stock oil pressure sensor goes...one for the feed line and one for the gauge...i removed the stock oil pressure sensor
