oil pressure question

Default oil pressure question

Hi guys.. i am running a fully turboed built engine, with a stock oil pump . running 7 psi of boost. Can any body give me a clue on how much oil pressure should i have at full throttle?

do a search...

ill help u out tho. an oil pump is belt driven so its rpm dependent, not throttle. mine never sees less than 20psi at idle weven when its hot as hell out side and compltely warmed up and it it stays around 80psi all the way till vtec then drops to about 70psi and holds right around there till redline

oil pump is crankshaft driven, not belt

is it RPM dependant

u shall see lil over 10 psi on idle and 50 psi at 3 k rpms

the oil pump shall bleed any oil pressure in excess of 75 psi
u might see more when cold...
but at WOT and going on VTEC, around 70 psi is about right

u shouldnt see less than 40 psi over 3k rpms or somethings is wrong
