Default Oil might be to thin?

Okay on start up my car doesn't smoke but when I drive it around and decel to stop at a light I get smoke and at sprits of a lot some times. However, once the car has been running for about 30 min to an hour the smoke goes away. I have been using 3-30 royal purple since I installed the turbo kit. I have been reading on H-T people use anywhere from 20-50 to 15-50. Could my oil 5-30 be to thin and I should up grade. I'm going for a oil change today so any feed back would be appreciate greatly.

5w30 is fine, so is 10w30. The smoke after driving is likely a sign of the oil seals in the turbo going bad.

Turbo is brand new not even 10 miles on it yet. This is why I thought the 5-30 oil was to thin.

i ran 5w30 on a brand new TN 60-1 for 20k miles without issues.

Give it some time, maybe it'll go away. Is it a garrett? I think they've been doing that lately.
