Default oil line size?

as of right now i am using an earl -6an line with a 90degree elbow off the turbo, the guy at the speed shop said oil lines are typically -6an's. so i said fine give it to me. my motor is consuming a little oil, but it was before, after all it does have 110k on it. there is no difference in the amount of oil that is being consumed in my motor, i see no oil leaks on the feed or return line, or on the T in the back of the block, but sometimes when i am driving i can smell burning oil. maybe because i have a hole in the hollow cat and im running rich i am mistaking that smell for oil?
heres a pic of the oil line

Check for oil in your charge pipes and in your DP. If you find a lot, it's probably the turbo seals getting too much oil pressure from that rather large feed line.
