Oil Cooler install?
Hiya... I have a oil cooler for my turbo crx that I want to install, but am a little worried about the stock oil pump... I was planning on cutting the oil feed line for the turbo and putting the oil cooler right before the turbo. Will this put a bad strain on the oil pump.. also is this the ideal location?
I just asked this question a week or two ago. The general opinion is that it's not a good way to do it.
Get a sandwich adapter and run your feed/return for the COOLER from there and keep your oil feed/return for your turbo the way it is.

Why is putting the oil cooler before the turbo a bad idea? On a B18C1 (I know the poster is asking a D series), you already have an water to oil cooler at the filter, so what is the harm in putting a cooler before the turbo as well?

I did a little more research and it looks like what I need to do is buy the sandwich adapter that goes between the oil filter and the block and run the lines off that.
