The B&M kit is not the best quality. I bought one and prompty returned it. I later put together my own kit and fabricated some custom brackets for the cooler. The cooler mounts directly to the frame, and there's enough clearance for a dual core radiator.

I got all the oil cooler components from http://www.racerpartswholesale.com . Just search for "mocal" for the adapter.

I got my parts from racerwholesale also. Good guys! They were out of the one adapter plate I ordered They promptly called me and let me know, so we could work out something else.

The cooler itself is being sold as "Tru Cool" from RacerPartsWholesale, but it sure looks like the same ones from B&M. I got the 24 rows version for $44.95.

JT, where did you get the adapter for the oil filter? What size/thread is needed for the D series engines? Specifically the d16a6 because I have the lines and an oil cooler, but not the adapter. Can't find one anywhere.

Technine, I got the adapter from http://www.racerpartswholesale.com . I believe the size is 20mm, but please call and verify.

AVATAR, here are the pricing for my cooler setup. It's not cheap. Makes you just want to go out and buy a Greddy kit instead... HTH.

2x 90 degree AN-8 swivel Aeroquip hose end $16.43 ea (for oil cooler)
2x 120 degree AN-8 swivel Aeroquip hose end $25.43 ea (for oil adapter)
1x 24 rows cooler $44.95
1x thermostat oil adapter plate $79.99
12x AN-8 Aeroquip SS hose $4.52 per ft (I bought extra just in case)
4x AN flare fittings $ ??? (can't remember the price)
1x Brass T-fitting $??? (I use this to mount a oil temp sensor)

Here is another pic of the cooler that shows the T-fitting for the temp sensor. It's not the best location for the temp sensor, as it doesn't measure the oil temp in the engine. However, at least I know the temp at the cooler.

Yes, it's a JRSC. The adapter plate is a Mocal unit which opens at 180 degrees F.

I have a setrab oil cooler with earl fittings. I'm not running it yet but when I get everything back together we will see.
I've heard good things about those. http://www.bakerprecision.com/setrab.htm

Well thats roughly $263 w/o the AN flare fittings, so it's still cheaper than the Greddy if it is $400. appreiate it.

Yes, the thread is the same on the adapter as the block. I use the same Honda oil filter.

call me getto, but I'm thinking a 5-$10 cooler from a volvo/audi etc would do the trick for me with rubber hoses... $25 total.... Better than nothing....

Not sure an oil cooler would be worth the oil presure drop though... Coolers are just like intercoolers, they have effency, and cause some presure loss.

BTW I was thinking about just putting it between the oil feed line from the block to the turbo.

yea, that is what I was thinking of doing. But part of me thinks this is not such a good idea since the oilcooler has larger lines than the turbo feed. Can some one whed some light on this?
