Re: OBX 321 Stainless B-Series manny (JSpin)
Was under the impression its made form the same metal (321???) as the other ones (you know, the one that dkeept breaking). How's this one going to be any different. Same material, just in a different shape?

your wastegate is going to fall straight off...those things are junk and always have been. unless you get them at cost which is like 250 and can pull that cash out every 6 months. might as well save up to buy something that will last.
I wouldnt even take a **** on that thing....

Re: (Honda Logic)
321 is a pain in the *** to weld, if it cracks good luck finding a place to re weld it. My friend bought a 321 manifold (not OBX) that had the wastegate fall off and no one around (not even our welding tech class) could get a good weld on it

Who gives a ****. It's his money, his car. Let him be another guinea pig and realize things for himself.
Some people just like to learn the hard way.

I'd rather take a BLOX manifold anyday for about $350 shipped.
Too bad I'm already using InlinePro

NighRider,
I am in no means the guinea pig by posting this. Just thought I'd share what I found. Good Luck to whoever tests this out.

For those commenting on the wastegate flange falling off again, look closely at the extra weld layed across the turbo flange for extra strength in case you guys missed it. By the looks of it, the poor mans collector on this looks pretty good for not being welded on the inside like a true merge collector. Who knows though.

Re: OBX 321 Stainless B-Series manny (NightRider-gsR)
If theyre hard to weld, then its hard to come off! For 321 Stainless Manifold and a Downpipe at that price? **** , I would rock it!
Wonder if this clears powersteering?

Have you ever heard the term backcut? There's fudging the cut but thats not even close. The tubes are supposed to be round not oval .that kills the flow Thats A manifold not A hand rail

kooks came up with the original design. just didnt use the same schd 40 material.
geoff made the kooks design with thick walled stainless pipe instead of the thin walled 304 or 321 kooks was using
cody soon after came out with the SST. but had the idea to make the manifold of that design a while ago.
... then everyone else started making them.

bout sums it up, someone finally gets it . Kiwi was somewheres in there too, although not sure where.
Im curious to see the inside welds of this manifold; to see if they are backpurged or not. Chances are, probably not, which means the manifold wont last any longer than any other OBX product.
Im predicting this manifold will fail in two places(well, 5-6 actually), where each runner hits the collector, and the wastegate/turbo flange locations.
Im predicting this, because some of my earlier, under-penetrated manifolds have failed in these places(mainly collector inlets), and its essentially the same structural entity.
Oh, w/out expansion slots on the head flange, the 1 and 4 runners will be MUCH more likely to break off at the collector.
Just my $.02
