obd1 conversion problem
hey all, I got a 97 gsr and I connected my obd1 ecu, and right when it reaches about 4800-5000 rpms, it sputters like crazy. Is there more involved to do an obd1 conversion?

Re: (c2nap)
The car runs fine with the OBD2 ECU?
You feel up to checking the pinout of your harness to make sure it's correct? They can be a PITA to assemble, and occaisionally you get one that's been mispinned.

RPT never got around to adding my final revisions to his pinout guide:

ODB2b B16 to OBD1 A17 for IABs (silly B18C kids)
Change wire color to:
OBD2b B22/OBD1 B2 (LG2) brown (JDM) -or- brown/black (USDM)
OBD2b C10/OBD1 D6 (VTM) orange/green (JDM) -or- orange/blue (USDM)
OBD2b C17/OBD1 D17 (MAP) pink/white (JDM) -or- white (USDM)
OBD2b C27/OBD1 D11 (TPS) pink/black (JDM) -or- light green (USDM)
I'm ASSuming the differences between wiring colors is a JDM/USDM thing, as all three sets of OBD1 pigtails I have on hand are identical in this regard. They all came from automatic cars (they have the extra wires) but I don't know anything else about them, could be Accord garbage for all I know </TD></TR></TABLE>

could it be anything related to secondaries? i can downshift for it to be over 4800 rpms such as go to 4800 rpms in 3rd then downshift to 2nd so its above 4800 and its fine until i step on the gas then it starts making this noise and doesnt let me accelerate....
