Default OBD1 Boost Inspection

Hey folks, I boosted my 94 RS two years ago after I got it inspected and state inspection (NJ) is coming up again real soon. I planned to return the car back to stock for inspection but was wondering if it was possible to run it through as it is. Any thoughts?

Here in Texas, OBD1 cars just have to pass the tailpipe sniffer test, no CEL, and fatory emissions equipment still in place (EGR, vapor canister, etc).

Thanks for the response Borat. I'm surprised that this isn't a huge topic considering the number of boosted cars in this forum. Those cars do have to go through inspection don't they?

The sad truth is that it seems states can barely keep up with automotive technology as it is, much less with people swapping OBD-I and OBD-II around constantly. It's a shame that you can't go into the inspection place and get the proper test for your car's configuration, but they just don't want to make the rules any more complicated for people than they already are. So instead of me being able to drive up and get the OBD-I sniffer test, which I would have to buy a real cat for my car to pass, I have to jump through hoops to fool my stock computer to pass the OBD-II test with much worse emissions.

Also, some states like California make you do the sniffer test no matter how old your vehicle is, which is really how it should be in every state. Assuming that people's emissions are fine just because they aren't throwing codes is asinine.
