o2 sensor placement

Default o2 sensor placement

yes i have searched but i didnt really find exactly what i was looking for , well here is my question. how far from the turbo are you guys placing your o2 sensor. by the way this is a obd1 4 wire of witch i am talking about. also i aquired a mopar 4 wire o2 sensor for free and was wondering do you think i could use it in place of a oem honda one ? oh yeah i forgot to mention this is for my DA integra. any info is appreciated

mine is about 24" downstream from the turbo..

I believe Bosch recommends min. 18" running pump and 36" running leaded race fuel.

My rule of thumb is to be at least 6" away from the turbo but as close as you can get.

right on thanks for the replys , now what about the mopar o2 sensor do you think it would work ?

I would use a factory Honda one. The operating voltage from 0-5 volts might be different from the OEM one. Doesn't hurt to try it though.

i sometimes wonder how DSMs run the o2 right on the turbo housing without frying it . ..
