NX Ntercooler Questions?
For those of you running this do you see any noticable gains?
Does anyone have any actual dyno numbers before and after spraying?
Is there any safety concerns with running this? Being that it will mounted on the front of the car.
Does anyone have any videos of this while spraying? Does it go all over or is it consentrated to the IC?
Thanks for any help.

whats up chad?
from what i hear it isn't that good b/c although it may lower charge air temps, there is no compensation for it. something like it'll make you run lean when using it. someone chime in and elaborate.
read it a while back. theres a thread somewhere about it.

I was wondering if it would lean it out also b/c the air temp would hopefully be a lot colder. Anyone else have experience with this?

I believe that's why you would tune for it, but I guess tuning for nitrous is too complex.

well, while it SHOULD cool your intake temps, this is its job. if it were to cool it enough to make gains, your intake temps correction table would add fuel.
chances are, even if you didnt have a correction factor enabled, you wouldnt lean out enough to do any damage.
My 'research' has shown that even from 120F to around 60F is only about .2-.3:1 AFR points (test vehicle b18b w/ t3/t04e @10 psi HKS IC).
but id love to see some datalogs of a car w/ this Nitrous spraying IC.

I have ran this setup. It spools my turbo up quick. Example, when i was in Sa,tx I raced a 350z. We were talking as we were rolling to the start. THe whole time i was talking to him, i was chilling the intercooler with the nx intercooler chilling. We took off I was spinning like a beyatch. I missed 2nd(lol), then threw it in gear and still spinning bad(which never happens). I think it made a difference, but i do not know the horsepower difference. If this sounds i am at work and i cant re-read it

i agree. i'm gonna need my del sol tuned within the next few months. Just getting some extra nitrous parts to have that run nicely, then getting the EMS. Theres a case of beer in it for ya if you fly back here, lol.

i think he will need more then a case of beer. But I am sure Mase will come back up here if you give him 2 cases of beer and some fat chicks.
Would it not be more direct (and more cost effective) to have a little shot of nitrous in your charge piping? Cooling the intercooler just seems indirect, when you could spray in the charge pipe.
I was running the cryo2 setup which is very similar to the NX kit. From my experiance I did see a minor gain with the kit especally on hot days. it was very consistent on hot days and on average/cold days it really wasn't much of a noticeable gain. For bracket racing I didn't find it very benificial since I wanted to be as consistent, but when I was just going all out I would be spraying the cooler as soon as I was getting ready to line up then keep it on for the run down the track...I did see an improvment in times then.
I did do a small test at e-town during summer slam(hot day). I used a dry shot of n2o only set at a 25 shot for one run which got me a 12.76... Then I used the cryo2 kit Intake bulb and intercooler sprayer this got me a 12.88... the car was running only 6psi and I did not tune for either. before I was pretty much stuck at 13.0/13.1 not a huge gain but a gain. of course I just turned up the boost to 9psi and tuned the car and ran 11.9 with neither.
