Any more ideas? I'm rerouting all the vacuum lines tonight and redoing all the piping. Hopefully something works

Actually you are kinda on the same thought process as me. I'm rechecking the BOV tonight when I re-route the vacuum lines. Another thought that Stan had was compressor surge, as in BOV not opening at all being too tight and pushing back on the turbo so when I get to 4th for the pull it doesn't have enough time to spool back over 3 psi.

yah check it out, it makes sense that it could happen like that, and if it was opening at 3psi, you may not even hear it if its staying open.

Yep, thats what I was thinking since none of us heard my BOV while on the dyno. Plus with open downpipe I wouldn't be able to hear it if it was open earlier at WOT

i was thinking that maybe your intercooler has a leak in it somewhere. noone seemed to mention anything about the I/C becuase they have been know to leak inconspiciously and i thought you would have checked it but you (at least i sometimes do) overlook the given things.

Yep, the intercooler was pressure tested by the previous owner. I'll prolly retest it just incase

What kind of Bov brandon? Loosen that puppy up a little, It might not be the main problem but you dont want it not opening up all the way, or too open and you lose soem boost. Either way If you cant really hear it now, its either too tight, or it';s not getting enough vacuum.

Keep us updated, I still think it's something stupid , but im eager to see what the problem is

I have the same problem as you , i can only boost 5 psi. I used to be running 10, then all of a sudden one night i only hit 5 psi. I didnt touch anything. Before I used to be able to hear my BOV flutter at 0 and I could hear it at 2-3 psi. Now I cant hear it at all unless I hit 5 psi. The BOV is a HKS super sequential. I have the bolt all the way tight on the back, it has been like this for a month and held 10 fine. I did buy the BOV used though. The few local people I have talked to dont think that can be it, but I still think it is because it doesnt make sense that it just happened to mess up the same time as whatever is causing our problem. Please let me know if this is your problem.

Good to know, I'm gonna go to the garage right now and finish up everything and just rip around with no bumper on and play with the BOV and boost controller (BOV is in the bumper ) I'll let you guys know the results

Well, I redid all my Vacuum lines and ran them into a GE Vacuum box and ran an extra line to the BOV (now running 2 lines to the BOV for both ports) and seems like its all good. I have no clue what boost I'm at, but the tires spun so hard I almost smacked a curb, lol. Hopefully all is good and I will go back for tuning again this Saturday. Even if not fixed, the car definitely runs better than before, but keep popping up ideas for me to look over just incase

i know that your I/C was pressure tested and whatnot but try running piping straight from the turbo to your throttlebody hince bypassing all the piping and I/C. yeah the air will be hot but it is just for a couple of tries. its easy and will help you single out that part of the system.

if someone mentioned this i am sorry for the repost.
