NOS Direct port ?'s
I have a '94 LS with an 80-shot direct port on an almost stock engine(Intake/exhaust/MSD in-line fuel pump) with 120k miles.
My problem is: each time I squeeze(I have it on a button, not on the throttle) it first kind of sputters(too much fuel, I think), then it feels like it kicks in, but then it feels like it cuts out almost right away(the nitrous). My car still runs fine, but it just doesn't have that 'kick'.
I used to have a '97 Accord with a Dry a kit(50-shot) and I could feel the N2O alot more on that car. I've check and re-checked all my wiring/connections/solenoids/etc... and I can't figure it out...
Anyone have any ideas on what else I could try?
Thanks

do you have a purge kit? maybe your line isn't full of nitrous and the initial blast of juice is mostly stale old air that has no nitrous in it..
the kick is good..
the drop in kick.. well perhaps your just use to it?
Whats the bottle pressure when you squeeze?
how many times have you squeezed on this bottle?
if you cna help me out.. i might be able to figure out the problem.. i had similar things before.. and i ended up with a pressureized bottle but no liquid left in the tank.. kick, but nothing afterward... bottle pressure has to be between 750-1100 for a good squeeze.. and if your just plain use to the kick, like i was... your gonna have to toss on the 100 jets or get a turbo
letme know all the details.. plug gap checked lately? compression test? clutch in good shape?
some of this info can help, lemme know or private IM me..

Uh, except for the Zex the basic nitrous kits only come with a switch, unless they've all changed since I used one last .. only been 3 or 4 years though, so I doubt it.
Well....with the button issue, I like to have a little more control(yes, I ONLY use it at WOT). Sometimes I'm a little 'ify' that I'll mis-shift and punch the gas pedal with no load and bye,bye engine if I have it hooked up to the throttle.
I put brand NGK plugs(one step colder), I replaced my clutch with a 6-puck clutch about 2k miles ago. The bottle pressure reads at 900-950psi. I do have a the purge on the kit, but haven't had time to wire it up yet(maybe this is the problem?!?)
PS-I'm using NOS jet #'s .14-fuel and .22-nitrous(Is this correct?)

The jetting sounds right, however, you might want to give NOS Tech Line a call to verify it. Your problem almost sounds as if you are getting too much fuel right away. Has the problem always been there? What are the condition of your plugs after a run?
Honestly, if I were you, i would get all of the info you can, FP, Plug condition, RPM when activated, everything you can think of. Then give the NOS Tech Line a call and talk to them. They are pretty cool people and can usually help you out.

Im guessing it could be air traped in the lines. This is why you have a purge kit. I suggest you hook it up and purge the old air in the lines and then spray...see how it "hits"...also try getting a bottle heater and bring the n2o pressure to about 1,000-1,100psi ...thats when it hits REAL hard
