noob ? here... AFC, how does it work?
Okay I have read the different posts on the setup of the AFC, and how to tune it. Fine, now I need to know how does it exactly work? The pupose and reason behind it...
The main reason is to try and explain my father, he's old school and has no idea what i'm talking about... plus I want to know before i get into it...
PS. Don't flame, i tried searching but the responses were of no use...

Well... in general, it controls how much fuel to give at certain rpms... you can also change other things like v-tec engagement point, throttle settings, etc.
I don't know a whole lot about it, but those are some of the things i had to change when i turbocharged my d16y8 because i was giving much more air to my engine, and now it needed more fuel.

its a piggy back system. wut it does in essence is trick ure cars stock ecu into thinking everything is normal when in fact u are changing fuel settings throttle settings and vtec engagement points. all it is; is basically an ecu "hack".
