noob boosted timing question....(quick question)
ok... almost ready to tune my car finally... (jdm h22 in an accord running uberdata) now, i was told that obd1 timming must be adjust manually... (obd 2 cannot) now when tunning with uberdata... do i touch the stock timming at all like retard it a little? or should i leave it dead on? thanks.. sorry for the noob post...
Just make sure it is set to whatever your base timing is in your ignition maps. If your base timing is set to 15 at idle then set your distributor there and make changes to your ignition timing through uberdata.

Eh? Pardon not tryin to jack or anything, but is this done through the programming, or is this done manually?
The distributor part? How do you set your distributor?

you move lossen the bolts and move it.

you can do it either way. It's a lot easier to do it through a program by changing some numbers wrather then moving a wrench
Step 1: Sync the timing. Meaning like SOHC_MShue said if it's at 15 degree by the timing light set Uberdata's base timing (top left corner of the maps) to 15 degrees.
Step 2: Adjust only through Uberdata since it's just a lot easier. Keep timing in the vaccum areas stock and only when in boost do you want to start retarding timing. For better off boost performance you can advance timing in certain areas, read up on it though.
Step 3: Boost away on safe timing
