are you trying to prime the turbo with oil without starting the motor (ie:cranking the motor over w/ the starter, but not firing the motor up by taking off the dist. cap or some other method?)

It's gonna be very hard to get oil all the way to your turbo when your motor is only turning a few rpm. Just make sure you put oil in your turbo if you can. You are T'ing from the oil pressure sending unit right? Have you tried starting it at all? You should have pressure in a few seconds...if not shut it off again.

I assisted with a turbo install just the other day & we had the exact same problem.

The oil pump will never generate enough pressure by just cranking the motor over. the answer was to start the motor & let it idle for about 10 seconds, turn it off, & take off the oil feed line to the turbo & make sure the turbo is getting oil. if the turbo is brand new, there will be assembly lube in it & it'll be safe. DONT REV THE MOTOR!!!! if everything is done correctly tho, the turbo will get oil. & you'll be set.

EDIT: & if i could spell...my life would be that much brighter!
