Nitrous users....
How are the MSD spark plugs? If you haven't used them dont post ("I use such and such and it works great") lol. The reason I wonder is because i like the red color, and I was wondering if they are high quality. I am using them for an 80 shot of nitrous.
Also, whats is the deal with shifting on the bottle.... someone told me a lower then redline shiftpoint would be smarter, because nitrous makes more power down low... however, in the R... I am not so sure, because i think it may be wise to wind the revs all the way through vtec...
Thanks for the advice,
Jon

hey typeR1558 you better be real carefull as to how far you go into redline, because if not you will have parts laying all over the place, if you hit the rev limiter while squeezing, it will blow up!!! because the motor leans out while on the rev limter, and trust me on this one i have done it, and the price is not worth it.

Hmmm...Red spark plugs?? You sure you're not talking about wires??
What your friend is probably trying to tell you is to just make sure you shift a little lower below your redline to prevent the fuel cutoff. I dont know if your redline is exactly fuel cutoff, but on my LS my redline is 6900 rpm and my fuel cuts off at 7200. So I just make damn sure I let go WOT right at or before 6900. Other than that, just spray as long as you can!!

I have never seen MSD spark plugs....I have the rest of there stuff though and it has perfomed well.
About your NOS system I would recommend a window switch from msd. It's a module that you use in conjuction with the MSD ignition box and accepts two rpm chips. One for the rpm it turns on and the other rpm for turning off whatever you have it connected to (NOS in this case) Just set the high side a little under factory redline and bingo your safe from a real nice lean mishap. Not only that but if you bump the switch at idle or something the NOS won't flow.....

No experience with the plugs, won't comment on them.
On shifting, Rev Limiter = Death.
I have an autometer shift light set 700 rpm below fuel cutoff, i figure if i ignore a huge red light shining in my face, i deserve to pick my connecting rods up off the street...

My car on the bottle drops horsepower after 7600. I never go past 8400 on the bottle. To my knowledge, MSD doesn't make plugs. Just go with the NGK 7011Es and change them every 4 to 5K miles and you'll be fine!
