Default Nitrous timer, anybody using? Setup ideas for mine?

Questions for anybody with a nitrous timer. I picked up one of these for my 75 shot Zex system on a b16a.

http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku

a) What RPM did you have it come in at, or what amount of time?

b) what percent over how long?

c) how did you trigger it?

many thanks,
-Vector

Let's further define this.

I'm running an MSD 3 step, the NOS 15834 progressive nitrous controller, and a Zex 82021 wet kit with the Zex solenoid controller.

Trying to get this all to work together. Anybody with experience on that?

Here's where I'm at, as best as I understand it.

I believe I can get the NOS controller to run the Zex controller. BUT, the ZEX comes on when the TPS sensor shows WOT. Problem is, I'm at wide open throttle, standing on the MSD rev limiter while staging. Don't want nitrous on when I'm staging at WOT.

Lot of crap going on.

Ah, help from the 406.

What are you running for a nitrous setup?

Still won't work "armed" after the burnout. I'll be staging WOT, and that triggers the TPS to fire the Nitrous while staging.

Perhaps there is a way to trick the Zex system while it's looking for the highest voltage from the TPS. Maybe a person can just feed that wire 5 volts off a relay and regulator and not the TPS sensor... Not sure. Lot's of crap to look at on this install.

I'm kind of convinced it's a matter of using some kind of additional switch on the clutch pedal. Or an additional switch that, regardless of throttle position, will not allow the timer to start as long as the e-brake is pulled.

I've got one of the head tech dudes from ZEX on it. He said he was going to take all the wiring diagrams home with him and work out a proper schematic to get all 3, well, technically four devices to work in perfect harmony, and in a good useable system configuration.

6al ignition
3 step launch control
progressive Nitrous timer
Zex nitrous control

I'll tell you my rationale for wanting to time the nitrous hit. It seems to me that people get away with RIDICULOUS amounts of turbo boost if you use a bit of common sense with it. Boost comes on hard and fast, but the actual hit, relative to combustion cycles is not as violent as an "instant on" nitrous shot. I want to tame the hit over time. Got to be just a bit easier on the system.

Hope my fuel pump gets here, I don't want to try the 75 shot on a stock fuel pump.

Hoping to dip in the low 13's with the new s4c trans and obx lsd. Trans is on the floor, new clutch and flywheel in, new motor mounts and remounting it all tomorrow....

Lotta work to do a trans. I'd like to watch a pro do it.

No way I'm gonna be done by Saturday...
