Hey i had a question... I tried the search but nothing answered my question.... I was just wondering, would the nitrous be less effective if the nozzle was located further down the intake instead of 6" away from the throttle body? cause i'm going turbo and i have a venom vcn 1000 kit, brand new... I was thinking about locating the nozzle before or right after the intercooler. Just wondering what would happen? TIA....
I think nitrous is safer and more effective further away, it gives the nitrogen a chance to break down the oxygen and make a cold, dense mixture. If you're too close to the t-body, you'll just shoot nitrous to the #1 cylinder and trash it. I put a kit on a sohc, with the nozzle right after the filter, and it runs 13.5's all day, and has had no problems. Same with a LS in a hatch.....refills bottles 3 times a week....no problems. These are both 70 shot dry kits by the way.
