Default Nitrous my civic??

Hey guys,iv been looking everywhere and haven't found a 100% answer. I have a 95 dx d16 non vtec that has almost every bolt on. I'm getting a new car for my birthday in 9 months so I just wanna do something cheaper and makes it faster. My questions are I want to buy the Zex safe shot nitrous kit and put it at 35 shot, do I have to get it tuned? It's a dry kit so how can I do it without tuning? If I set it up for nitrous will it still be a good daily driver and get good gas? And anything else I need to buy/do. Mainly I'd like to know ways to get the dry nitrous kit without having to get it tuned or make it a bad daily driver. Thanks for any help!!

Nitrous isn't going to change anything about your car other than when you're running it. It will get the same gas mileage and drive the exact same as it always has with one exception - when you push the button, you have 30hp more on tap...

ZEX? F.A.Qs
I have to disagree with the first part of this statement. A dry kit will have additional fuel added through the the fuel injectors. So yes you will need to be tuned for this and have fuel injectors large enough to compensate.

A wet kit has the additional fuel added through the the nitrous nozzle so there would be less tuning required there just fuel/nitrous jets.

All that being said I don't think it is worth it for 30hp especially on a d-series motor. Just leave it alone or build a cheap turbo kit. If your only looking for 30-50hp more you could use a stock dsm turbo and no intercooler. But honestly I would just leave it alone.

If you want to go nitrous do a wet kit. My buddy had a wet kit on his y8 back in the day with a 60 shot I wanna say. It was fun as hell, still drove like stock and it lasted for about a year of spraying alot. That car was used an abused an finally melted a valve. Had a blast as kids with that car. Don't waste the effort with a dry kit an 30 shot.

first of all if you have every bolt on you can get why isnt it tuned yet? also all i see is cheap parts on it. put a chipped ecu and tuned on crome would be the best thing you can do for it. if you havent yet get a b series tb on it as its 5mm bigger stock. get a z6 or y8 intake before nitrous. you need to do a leak down and compression test before nitrous as well and get a nice 2.5" cat back and a test pipe. get a wet nitrous kit as well dry not the way to go.

D-series, stock rods? They won't hold up to too much power adders.
A nice intake, exhaust, do an MSD ignition, maybe get it chipped at the most. Honestly you don't want to push that bottom end any more unless you get some beef in there.

Before spending that much, I'd drop a B18 with a VTEC head and a decent turbo, you should scoot much better, more reliable and probably less $$$ in the long run.
