NITROUS HELP PLEASE!
my current setup is shown in my sig an have alot of questions about it before i actually throw down the money to do it any help would be much apprecitated
my setup shown below will be ran on skunk2 pro 2 cams next year an reved to 9k next year will also be dyno tuned on crome pro with sunco 100 gas an roughly 12.50 compression
my main qusetions are, i plan on running a 75 shot should i do a direct port setup up or will a wet kit work fine an will my motor last with the 75 shot ? 2. with shifting at 9k what rpm should i cut the spray, an also what rpm should i activate it
thanks

Re: NITROUS HELP PLEASE! (01DC4)
a ran a 75 shot (dry) on a stock lsvtec build w/ a block guard for 30k. i only revved it to 7600 though. i just had a throttle switch on it, and would launch it and as soon as it hooked floor it. as long as its tuned well, you should be fine

The best way to spray, would be a direct port dry setup. If you want something simple, I would suggest a Zex wet kit. I've had good success with Zex products, it's activated when your tps sensor shows wot, and cuts off when you shift.

Are you only planning to run a 75 or more? I think with a Direct port setup the lowest you can go is like 100. If your planning to do just a 75, just run a single fogger wet setup. With good tuning it will last.

With your setup i wouldnt run a dry kit. My opinion would be to pick up a wet setup. Being that your stock sleeve i wouldnt suggest to run anymore then a 75 and that to me is pushing it.
Pick up a walbro fuel pump and regulator. With the wet kit you can some what tune the fuel and then i would use the ecu to do the rest of the fine tuning. Also I would make two different maps for your set-up. A seperate map for when your using the nitrous and one when your not. Your obviously not going to want to run the same amount of timing when your off and when your on.
As far as when you want it to come off and on i'd would just use the WOT switch that comes with the kits. Hope that helps.

Re: (SlowReaction)
His motor can handle a whole lot more than a 75 shot without sleeving. Tune your car on motor, and when you spray pull 2 degrees out of it at your dizzy.

i was on a 75 shot dry untuned on my stock b16 spraying atleast once a day and it lasted 5 months. I ended up breaking a chip off one of my intake vlaves because i raced like 10 times in a roll until the bottle was almost empty. btw i would rev to 9k.
75 shot dry tuned and it will last forever.
BTW i would miss shift and it still didnt blow up.

dam thats pretty good must have had a good tune would you say it was worth doing? now am starting to be concerned about spraying on the pct pistons anyone ever done that before? also if you are doing a 75 dry how do you have a decent tune off the bottle?

Re: (01DC4)
you could do it simple. use a wet kit, that will supply the fuel. then put an aftermarket ignition controller on that automatically retards timing when the nitrous solenoid opens. also you need a gauge and a bottle heater for consistant nitrous pressure. because if the pressure gets too low, you will have too much fuel, bog down and possibly wash the walls. as the fuel pressure wont drop due to it being pump supplied. this way you ecu has full n/a driveability, and as the nitrous is a piggy back power adder so will be the fuel and the ign. control. also you can contact n.o.s. tech line for input as well, as they are extremely helpful.

i WAS UNTUNED!!!!!
You tune the car for nitrous after 3500rpm its very simple. Pay someone that knows how to tune and tune it on crome since its cheap and call it a day. For under a 100 shot dry is you best bet. Intake backfires are deadly. THe jet i was using in the fuel side was a 34 thats the jet i recomend.
I SPRAYED ALMOST EVERYDAY UNTUNED ON A 75shot. If i was tuned i would have done a 100shot.
