Default Nitrous Compression

I searched but didn't really find what I'm looking for.

I have a B18c1 block with itr pistons, SCE copper head gasket, ARP Headbolts, Block guard

I'm taking the motor apart and replacing the rings. I want to run All motor/nitrous. I can probably spend about 800, and I can do most everything but machine work.

My thoughts, 75 shot on Wet kit, and a bottom end rebuild, here's my dilema

A. do I keep the ITR pistons, Shot peening the pistons, get total seal rings, and put motor back together. (how safe will itr pistons be with my setup?)

B. buying forged pistons, 10:1 or 10:2.1 ratio pistons, and a rebuild kit

C. Buy forged ITR pistons and the rebuild kit.

D. Keep the ITR pistons and buy rods or something else for my block.

sorry, I"m kind of a noob to the forced induction, hope you guys can guide me in the right way. Thanks

Right now you should be able to run 75 shot safely with just cooler plugs and ritraded timing. If you add forged pistons and rods you'll be able to run over 100 shot safely with proper fueling.

::EDI:: BTW i'd use the 10:1 compression

you should be fine. A guy i know ran a 150shot of direct port on a GSR and it just had JE slugs in 9:1 form.

ran fine. If you run a 75 on what you have now you'll be good also.
