Default Nitro in B20 non-vtec

I'm currently in the process of purchasing a 75 shot direct port nos kit from my buddy. I'm curious to see if any body is currently running this set up. I have b20 with w/ p@p head, 404's, skunk2 IM and Ls tranny. Let me know.

you should be fine with the 75 shot, to be on the safe side just retard the timing or get colder plugs, the ZEX plugs work great. it will also help if you got a ignition like MSD and you should always run super unleaded fuel at all times. Just be careful and watch those gauges, water temp, oil press. Here was the set-up I used to run at my local track for two seasons with no problems, now I'am going turbo.

stock D16Z6
ZEX system- 75 shot
basic bolt ons H/I/E
B&M FPR- set at 45 psi
MSD SCI PLUS ignition
ZEX plugs
timing retarded to 14 degrees
1/8 mile-- 9.35@77 mph E.T

good luck

Is the b20 block stock. If so you may run into problems since the cyl. walls tend to crack. You should get it sleeved especially if you are going to be reving over 7500.

I have never seen a sleeve crack because someone revved too high. The rods/rod bolts tend to break because of the r/s in the b20/ls motors. Anyway, that setup should produce some nice power, what car is this going in?

i see no problem with a 75 shot, my friend was running a 125 shot on his b20 on stock pistons, he blew the pistons 2x in a year, but the walls and the rest of the motor were still fine, the thing is he was crazy with the nos shot in everygear too, but with a 75 shot and being careful, retarting ,some 310cc,good sparks ect you should be fine.
