nissan guy need honda guy experiance in picking an ecu
Ok i have sr20det redtop in s13. And im really geting frustradte on picking an ecu. I ont want stand alone unless its plug and play, thatway if it takes a crap i can hook the stock ecu up super fast and be back on my way. So that sets me up to the emanage, pfc, of the aem if they ever make a plug and play unit for the sr. If anyone know of any other systems worth looking at, thanks. On my honda i had a hondata, but i hated the fact that you needed the high priced 4b setup and all the equipment o make any changes besise rpm, launch and things. my goals are be able to control injectors that can carry at leat 400hp if not closer to 450hp. also idle and stock like perfornace wen not in boost, is what im am looking for too. The turbo im using is the precision sc61. Any helps is apriciated as long as its first hand and not the "I heard from a guy who told a friend stuff" Thanks guys, sorry to post up the honda board with nissan crap but our sites suck and honda-tech rules.

Re: nissan guy need honda guy experiance in picking an ecu (turboex)
we installed a microtech on a s13 with an sr20 swap but he had the greddy
T-67 and it worked great. with the microtech if u have to plug up ur factory ecu its pretty much plug it back up and go since the microtech harness goes spliced into your factory harness. hope this helps u out. if u have more questions give us a call on tuesday.

the problem with power fc is the price pluss then i hear you cant use it all without buying some other soft ware. but the plug and play is nice. are you running one?
Also is the microtech a plug and play deal? will i need m stock ecu hooked up to run temp, rpm, stuff like that? Whats the price for a ready to install system ona sr20det? i see your a dealer figured i would ask

if you want something plug and play with minimal wiring then you might consider a JWT reprogrammed ecu http://www.jimwolftechnology.com if you change your mind and want to run a standalone....take a look at the autronic ecu's. there are plenty of quick sr's running autronics http://www.autronic.com/

the greddy emanage looks pretty promising...i think i might be trying that on my sr20

yep i'm with javier...
JWT has been in the game for the longest, although you have to send your ECU in everytime you want specs changed it's a DIRECT plug in to your stock harness and no tuning after that.
You just tell them what motor/CR/cams/turbo you're gonna use and they do it for you. The turnaround time is around 3-4 weeks though and you need to have a core to send in or pay their really high core fee which they return to you after they reprogram the stocker.

Re: (Jkan2001)
yeah thats starting to look like the way i want to go, another thing i was wondering is having a friend of mine send me a ecu from japan that is allready chipped for the injectors and maf i plan to use, is this a good idea? I also here that secret service of florida is doing this too. But they need the car for tuning and im in north dakota. I worte them to see what they can do for me. I worst comes to worst its time for a road trip.
