I work for an engineering firm. If I get 10 months behind on my work I get ******* fired, I don't have a field day with the clients money on Friday nights. Why should the standards be any different for him? Testing products is good and fine and all, but his manifolds were proven to make power, you don't need to be going out to test and tune to see how it's going to run if it's already proven to work.

i didnt think that was all that impressive, check out my sig, all internally stock except for some head studs, full exhaust with a revhard cast manifold. full inerior, drove it there bolted on some slicks and ran it, pump gas.

see i think this is another good point...how many places can you work...get 10 months behind...yelll at the customer and tell them its all their fault because they bug him too much, then say he hadnt heard from them, then claim to be backed up by not receiving material, (is anyone catching how many excuses he has?) and not get fired...we all have to make deadlines...why does he get to make excuses and everyone backs him up?

Maybe I should just wait around at my material suppliers every sunday night hoping they would open instead of going to the track, right?

I think the reason people get their panties in a bunch when they see this video is because they know it took matt some time to put this car together. valuable time that could have been spent working on THEIR products. I'm not choosing sides, I'm sure there are people that have legitimate beef with matt about their order, but I don't remember seeing anywhere in the post that said that was Matt's car. Anyone consider this was a customer's car that he built and was test/tuning? I guess shame on me for being niave if I am wrong, but I have to believe its not his personal car. My profession is my hobby as well, but my customers always come first.

This is a completely invalid arguement. If you charge $800 for a manifold that should cover your costs and profit. So when you charge $800 some fraction of that should immediately be set aside for parts. You take that fraction, you call up your supplier, and make an order. Then you have the parts within a certain amount of time(within a week or two). Then you find time, and build the manifold. You shouldnt run out of material. Thats just **** poor planning. You have their money, you use their money to build their stuff. Its the same thing when people give you a downpayment, you use that down payment to atleast cover your base costs of doing their job. Anything beyond that covers your profit margin. Its basic business. You just don't have a clue. What you are obviously doing is taking that $800 your customer gave you and paying your water bill, electric bill, your dyno time, your bar tab, and everything else except paying for parts. You're absolutely ridiculous. If you cant pay the bills, you should charge more money. Your problem is obviously money management if you are always running out of parts. They've given you the money, you build this stuff for a living, ORDER THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PARTS FOR THE JOB!!! Ive never heard of someone doing something every day, using the same part every day, doing the same job every day, and yet you run out of parts so damn often. Seriously, you deserve the **** storm and posts like this prove it.

It sure does, i guess i'm an a-hole then. I thought matt's car was blue. Anyway, I hope everyone gets their parts soon and Matt does a better job in the future estimating turnaround to his customers. Overpromising and underdelivering is the quickest way to **** off a customer, I hope at least that lesson is learned. I have no idea what is up with the guy who waited 10 plus months but I can tell u I ordered a manifold from One-Fab last year and I was told the standard 3-4 weeks. It did take a little over 2 months but I did get my stuff and was very happy with the product. I know thats not what the guys still waiting want to hear, but maybe its a little reassuring to them that I DID get my stuff.
