Default newbie here with a newbie question i think??

hey folks i've been reading this site for a while now and finally got around to signing up, anyway last night myself and a friend finally boosted my d16z6
currently i'm using a "GReddy Hybrid kit". After we installed everyting we started the car and took it for a test run now boost....well i got maybe 1psi...we check all the piping, wastegate and bov just to see if there was a leak somewhere there was none... after all of that i notice that the turbo was making noise and the "cold side" of the turbo was scraping the houseing,on top of that there was not nut holding the turbo in place....anyone with a TD04H(15g) knows what i'm talking about....my question is would that kind play cause the turbo to not build boost???
also when i floor it I can maybe get 2psi.

Thanks For All The Help.

i would say so, excessive shaft play is not a good thing.

Yeah... if your blades are moving enough to touch the side of the housing...

You're gonna need a rebuild or a different turbo... that suxors...

yeah I seriously doubt that the turbo you bought was really rebuilt like your were told. If it was, then that person has no f-in clue what they are doing.
