Re: New Supercharger? (BOO YEAH)
Alright so i went through the site for a little bit, but im a little skeptical, i mean, thier comparisons are very biased, like how cold air induction only increases 5hp....ask AEM or Comptech CAI users im sure they can disagree.
Apparently the makers of this look down on roots type supercharger and turbos...the site is pretty biased, so i take the info there very umm, carefully.
as for increasing spool speed, not a clue , they mentioned how the compressor on this thing is good at moving air at low pressure (1psi) i wonder when your boost kicks in, it might end up being restrictive on the compressor side of the turbo... lots of things to take into consideration....not sure if it'll be worth it just yet, but im gonna keep an open mind, and look into it a little more.

Re: New Supercharger? (BOO YEAH)
ok......I don't think anyone have boughten one of those things on any forum. People are always asking "Will this work?" and it is always replied with "You get what you pay for"
So.....will someone buy this thing, and prove that 1psi of a hair dryer won't do a thing?

You think you get more than 5 HP from an aluminum pipe and a cone filter? No wonder they sell so many of those things for so much money!

We're all in the wrong business people, it's all about manipulating the general public some how like these people that sell intakes and swirly things. I die when I think about how much money sticker companies make like Modern Image and Award master.

Re: New Supercharger? (MiraiZ)
Well supposivly someone on ClubSi tried it on a truck..and it helped! Weird.
IF I actually had $700 and nothing else tobuy..I might try out the 1.7 psi unit for the hell of it. The only way to make sure it works is with a MAP sensor gauge and a dyno. With the Apex'i S-AFC you can moniter the MAP sensor...if it actual shows positive pressure..then the thing works!
The funny thing is...they dont mention anything about fuel?? Or how about throwing a code when the MAP sees boost (if it sees boost)
The other intresting thing is...if the car doesnt make something like 6% more power on the dyno..they refund your money....hmmm.

Re: New Supercharger? (HX_Guy)
I hesitate to admit this but I bought one of those strictly for testing purposes; installed it on the intake to my turbo. Run for run, the difference between "with" and "without" was so small as to be written off to simple inconsistency. BUT my fuel setup was running extremely lean, so if it was in fact putting additional airflow into my engine, I probably didn't have enough fuel to take advantage of it. I will say that off the car, that little "hair dryer" moves a LOAD of air so I could see it making a difference; maybe filling in for a second or two as boost comes up. Right now I've got it sitting in a pile in my garage; once everything is tuned well on my car I might throw it back on for ***** and giggles to see if it makes a difference.
