yep, it has always been said that pricing would jump up to the same level as other items on the market. I bought a manifold earlier this week.

Damn, I didn't think they were going to raise it that much. Now it's on par with F-Max, Greddy, and Drag. I am so glad I ordered the kit in January. Now it's going to be more difficult to choose for those buying a kit. $2550 to $3300...that's a big jump.

I know if you are a serious buyer, they will negotiate on the prices some. Talk to Geoff and he'll work with you.

Amen. Probably from seeing posts like this. I would raise the prices too if I had to deal with some of the babies on this board.

ive talked w/ geoff at great lenght, they're is alot of frustration stemming from all the smack talking and such. its funny in that it only comes from a few individuals that seem to have it out for max-rev personally. very immature imo, also most have to remember that these components are being assembled by hand! other companys are big enough to have machines to cast their mani's plus the ic are mass produced by spearco and such. imagine if you were a baker and you had the best bread in town then word caught on and then people across the country were hounding you to bake bread for them, would you be ready for the mass volume?

i know its a dumb comparison but you wouldnt turn the business away would you? even though you could'nt keep up w/ the demand you would still try your hardest to produce the product.

these kind of situations are the type that push away tuner shops from the honda/acura crowd and make them gravitate to more mature, appreciative customers that dont mind waiting,i know maxrev has kind of put their foot in their mouth by stating deadlines they couldnt meet but other than that i cant hold anything against them. they should let the customers know up-front the time frame this way their wont be any confusion, they will probably lose some impatient buyers this way but at least their wont people on here talking smack thus losing potential customers in the future.

ive babbled enough.....

I am not bitching, I am still planning on getting a mani, downpipe and dumptube, I just thought the preices would be lower for HT members. The first post the manifolds were only $349 then $399 after the initial offering.

I don't mean to be an "immature, unappreciative" customer, I am just looking for the best deal. As customers do we really need to be appreciative, I show my appriciation by paying for a product or service I want or need, I do not think I should show extra appreciation and hand out fivties to every company that I buy something from.

There is nothing wrong with Max-Rev, they make a nice product a good price. They are not doing us a favor by making manifolds for us, they are making manifolds for Hondas because it is extremely profitable producing product in the fastest growing automotive aftermarket segment. Once the "import scene" slows down, just as the "domestic scene" did years ago, Max-Rev isn't going to make product for the most mature or appreciative buyer, they are going to make a product that increases sales and profit. Basic economics, nobody is making turbo manifolds for Cadiliacs, I am sure those would be some mature customers, but no demand.

I have babbled enough too.............

I dont blame you. By the way, thanks for hooking us up innitially. I know that too much smack has been talked over the past couple of weeks/months about this and that. People just plain forgot about you just trying to be a good friend to everyone on the board and giving us another option of where to buy quality turbo parts/kits. I myself am a happy customer, and I will always talk highly of maxrev!
