new guy boost question
I recently purchased a greddy kit, with a boost controller, fuel pump, and bov, minus the intercooler( had to eat/pay rent). According to the greddy installation guide it states that the stock boost setting is higher than 5 (approx 7+lbs) . Based upon what I have been reading on the boards a lot of people on average are running 5lbs.. I got a new motor with about 8,000 miles on it and I would really like it to live for a few years ,at least.. What are some safe yet wet your pants type boost settings (hi/lo-autocross vs daily driven) to run. My loan shark (visa) is getting a little conscerned......

Re: new guy boost question (hfderrick)
Remember the GReddy Kit was to run on a stock civic, for stock boost ( 5/6 psi). I dont trust the blue box past 5/6 psi. Right now mines at 5psi.
Did you get colder plus? Do you use 93 octane gas? If you want give me a PM.
Your motor will be fine, just check your oil, plugs and dont boost like a mad man until you get a standalone or build the bottom end up.
Here are some (well a lot) of my install from 3 weeks ago, take a look!!
