New Built Motor...starts..but dies right away...HELP.
I am trying to get mt Built H22 up and running, but am having problems. When I try to start it it starts for about a second and dies. It is getting fuel and is getting spark. The cam timing is dead on. I have adjusted my built head valve lash to factory specs, there is a brand new battery with a full charge, I have oil pressure, and the starter is good, so I am pretty much clueless now as to what is causing it to die, so if anyone could please help I would really appreciate it. Also, I am running n/a just to start it, stock ecu, injectors, header etc just so you know, but has a nice fi setup waiting just to keep it in this forum.

Maybe you just need to hold the throttle open for a few minutes. When I started one of my LS setups it needed to run for a bit before it held idle.

I will go asjust the valves again, and try the throttle thing, is there anything else that I can check, I have the whole day dedicated to the car and I really want to get it running.

Thanks! I just got the valves adjusted so I am going to go try this, thanks.

I am actually running the inline resistors instead of the resistor box.

So you are using stock injectors, stock ecu and resistors inline with your injectors.... that might be the problem.
You can't run saturated injectors with the resistor box or inline resistors.

I am running an OBD1 P72 with an H22 N/A basemap, Stock OBD1 H22 240cc (?) Peak and Hold Injectors, Inline resistors. Will that work?

Its seems as when I leave the car sit for a few mins then try and start it, it will almost run for a second, but when I try to start it again right away it dies faster, so could I possibly be flooding the engine?
