what kinda help do you need?

your tuner should know everything about it.

do you have your own copy of it?

Thats strange, I never dealt with the devil, just a wacky guy named James, and I didn't ask about his tail or his fork..

Neptune this and neptune that, I keep reading about neptune hear on h-t and from what I gather is that it is an insider thing, like your either inside a group or not. It dosent matter wheather your a good tuner or not. There are a couple of people that I have talked to that in my eyes are great tuners (and I'm not the only one to think this) and they have tried to get the software but were unable due to some personal issues with other tuners with the software. Look its there software and they will do as they please with it, but I'm just tired of all this bandwagon ****.

Just my $.02 and if anybody wants to know further details you can pm me.

Some tuners can't get neptune because the creators of neptune don't want to have many authorized dealers in the same area.

yep is how i got mine

I Quarantined I--
the wiring doesnt matter for neptune.
neptune is just the software, the wiring should all be the same no matter what software you run (unless you have some add ons, ie FTS)

the problem is there were a bunch of relays under the dash wired up to the wiring harness...so does anyone know if neptune needs any of those relays or can i just use my 99 si wiring harness then use a obd1 conversion harness and it should be good? plus changing a couple of the sensors where needed

while that is a great thing to have. i belive it is also good that neptune it sort of "off limits" to the "general public", that way you dont have people messing with the tune and blowin **** up. perfect for daily driver types.

What do you mean? Lock it, plain and simple. When I had my hondata tuned I went to play around with it and I found out that the map was locked and I couldn't make any changes or even view the map. I was not mad I understand I don't know **** and shouldn't be messing with the system's configurations.

My main gripe with neptune is that I read how great it was and all these features it has and I wanted it and so did a lot of people in my general area, and at the time I lived in ny and I was told that jeff evans was the only one in the area that could do it, and I am not a big fan of his work. So in turn I couldn't get neptune and neither could a lot of people in my surrounding area. But hey what are you gonna do? Its james system and he'll do as he pleases, which I fully understand. But you have to also realize that there are a lot of other more then capable tuners out there that could utilize your system.

Just my .02$

I'm curious why you consider this an insider thing? What is frustrating to me is that so many people have complaints about the fact that James has chosen exclusive NepTune tuners/dealers across the country and everyone has a problem with it, but you don't see these same people complaining about the fact that they (or their friend who has a shop and who can tune) is not able to become a Power Excel shop capable of tuning Apex-i Power FC. Why the double standard??

You aren't a big fan of Jeff's work. I assume then you must have been tuned by him or had a friend whose brother's cousin must have gotten tuned by him. What was wrong with the car that was tuned? Or perhaps this is more of a personal issue since you friend in NY could not get the software. If you have a problem with Jeff's tuning (or perhaps this is more of a personal issue) and since it now seems as though you live in Florida, why don't you contact one of those tuners who are local to you. You have Darin in Florida, Jack at P1 Auto in south Carolina, and even Jason Hunt in Virginia. You could also go west and visit Jason or Tony. There are plenty of options, pick one and stop complaining.
