Running a p28 with uberdata and dsm 450s. Car randomly throws a code 16 and it wont start. Just sits there and cranks over and over. Sometimes it will hickup and i have to hold it in teh start position to get it running. IF i miss this hiccup it will never start

If i reset the ecu, sometimes it goes away and it starts right up fine. Other times like today i reset the ecu 27 times (pulled fuses and - bat. terminal) and it took over an hour for the car to run again. I ended up pop starting it down a hill to shut my sister up and it actually worked??? Never thought it would. But then i got on the road and it wouldnt rev past 3k rpm. there are no leaks and all injectors seem to be working.


What could be wrong?? i heard its a funny issue with uberdata and/or dsms??

Never had that problem with dsm's, dunno about uberdata. Free bump

 

bump. i did some searching and some people said it could be main relay related, but im not sure.

Try a diffrent chip with like a Crome basemap. See if it's doing the same thing that way you can narrow the margin of things that can be wrong.

u have a resistor box right? did u check the wiring on the injectors?

 

are you sure your fuel pump is turning on?

 

check the injector, clips, and fuel pump. and could also be uberdata itself, try a different version. we've had clips slip off and had the code come on. your's sounds more like a pump or program issue

 

resisitor box and pump where in long before he went turbo, and there were no issues.

So it sounds like either dsms or uberdata. Just wondering if anybody has had similar problems with one or the other or both of these.

 

Try making a basemap in Uberdata or import your old maps but dont use the fuel mod box. uncheck the enable box and it should start everytime assuming you had it enabled before. try it and let us know.
