Need some Input......
Hey guys, well i'm new to HT but not to Hondas. I had and built a couple CRX's when I was younger (and much stupider and didnt know what the hell I was doing). But anyhow heres my situation:
I just picked up a 88 crx si shell and block from a guy. Well through multiple emails and correspondence the block I was "supposed" to pick up was a 84mm/B16 block with Darton sleeves. (Keep in mind the guy I was dealing with was 8 hours away from me and I would be picking it up along the way of a 15 hour road trip). So when I got there the block was Darton sleeved with no issues, however it's a D16a8 block (determination on sleeve size to come once I get my snap gauges out there).......FML. I had my heart set on a B20/ Vtec (sleeved) with massive amounts of boost. Being as I already had a $200 rental tow dolly and added 2 hours onto my trip I said a few choice words threw the guy the cash and away I went.
So my question is this.......what now? Should I suck it up and look into actually building/ boosting this block or cut my losses look for someone who legit wants to build this and use that $$ towards my original build plan. I just havent seen alot of people honestly building these for big power #'s.
My goal just so you guys have respectable input is for hp #'s close to 500 and also looking to dip the car into the 10's. (Also this will be a "street legal car" but BARELY driven on the street, it will primarily be a track car) Please give me some input fellas. Thanks.

I've been thinking about it and I had my heart set on a B series build and its what I want to stick with........so that said, anyone need a darton sleeved D series???? There's gotta be some SOHC guys here that wanna turn their boost up.....
