Default need serious help.. DRAGIII vs. REVHARD2

okay, i did all my searching and all, but people have so many different opinions, i just need a few last answers to make up my mind, i know that these two kits come with basically the same parts and all, the drag piping and intercooler is shiny and the revhard intercooler is a bit larger, the revhard downpipe is nice but is a bit short and needs to be fabricated, i dont know much about the drag downpipe, i think they both come with a t3t04e turbo. i will be purchasing a turbo this month and i can't decide between the two, i plan on buying hondata next month along with an apexi n1 muffler + custom piping, only gonna boost 5psi til i build the motor up, gonna be daily driven, goal down the road will be 300whp. help a turbo no0b out guys.. and i can get both for about the same price.. $2700 or so..

Rev-hard. I like that drag also, but I would choose the rev-hard over the drag. The only thing I wish Rev-hard came with, is an air filter. I had to custom make me one, while drag already comes with one.

also wondering one more thing.. what are the advantages of an equal length manifold over the usual turbo manifold that the kits already come with? and do the equal length manifolds allow AC?.. thanks for the help guys...

Is it me or is the only difference basically the manifold design (both are similar regardless) and the piping appearence.

You dont get the bling bling factor with the rev hard tho hehe. The RH mani is much better than the drag tho.

With Rev-hard you know exactly what turbo you are getting, the manifolds is better, and the pipping isnt bling bling. Drag works good, but again Im biased towards Rev-hard since thats what I started off with.

just like art, im biased too. i got a DRAG3 kit and i like it. bling bling piping and it comes with an air filter and pipe. the revhard manifold is a little better than DRAGs but not much of a difference that it will make you change your mind entirely on what kit to get. both are good kits. just depends on your preference. are you going to keep your setup on the low low? or do you wanna floss it to people? cuz the bling bling piping definitely looks good.

I agree with Art. RH all the way. The comment about knowing exactly what you are getting...true. For some damn reason, I have seen DRAG kits advertised with so many different turbos. What gives?

There has got to be more of a difference than the revs mani and drags bling and filter. I hope cause I'm thinking about spending a lot of extra money and I want to be sure it's worth it if I go rev

Oil lines in rev hard kits is a rubber hose.... dunno if you consider that "good"... drag I hear is the same deal, but I could be wrong I bought my kit used and mabye got shafted with the ol rubber hose....

My RH kit came with steel braided hose for the oil lines. The kit is great, and huge power potential. I'll let you know though, if you live anywhere that it rains, get the piping powdercoated or something, as it tends to get a bit of SURFACE corrosion. The T3/TO4E is MENTAL. enjoi.

both kits are similar... and if youre waitin for someone to tell you why you should get one over the other... youre goin to be wasting your time. both kits have lots of power potential.

My DRAG kit came with the assy rubber tube and steel tube oil-return system. I ditched it for the tried and true earl's fittings and SS hose (no leaks).

Where can you get the drag kit or the RH kit for the same price? I've always seen the RH a few hundred more.

Id get a custom kit..I have a drag III and I would like a better manifold and say a 60-1 turbo. I wish I never bought my kit, just pieced one together. Id get a
maxrev manifold
tial 35mm
t3/60-1 etc.etc.etc.
you can just buy someones piping, or you can get it custom made..It seems like alot of trouble, thats why I chose just to get the kit, but Its really nothing. My buddy is putting together a kit right now, and everything is how he wants..its cool..but I have no complaints with the D3..happy boosting

Both kits come with a stainless steel oil feed line, both come with a rubber oil return line.

Thats true, when i was just getting into Turbo, Art told me the same thing, its a good thing to think. Really why not just get a rev-hard manifold? or Drag if you want, there really isnt need for a equal length turbo mani for your daily driven stret car.
