Default need recommendation on fuel pump

somethin is wrong with my fuel set-up. i must be running lean after 3200+rpms. according to my not-so-reliable air/fuel guage, im runnin between high reds and high yellows during WOT goin up regular freeway inclines. during normal acceleration, my car runs fine. im not even going into boost anymore. if i keep my foot on the gas when my car starts running lean, i can hear a pinging/fluttering type of noise from my motor. if it continues to do that for more than a few seconds, ill shoot out white smoke from my exhaust. thats the only time ill see white smoke.

my guess is... my inline fuel pump is bad. its not as loud as it used to be and it sounds like its choking when i start the ignition. it could possibly be my intank fuel pump. who knows... maybe it could also be the damn vortech fmu!

im sure someone can help me pinpoint my fuel problem.

i'd at least like a recommendation on what intank fuel pump to get. i was thinking a warlboro intank? which one? will it make my fuel set-up run richer with the inline and 12:1 fmu? i figured i might as well get a reliable performance fuel pump instead of breaking my wallet trying to get an OEM intank pump.

thanks in advance!

Do you have an in-car fuel pressure gauge?
