Default Need a little expert advice

My friend has a 2003 civic lx 4dr and is looking to turbo it. He doesn't have a lot of money and is trying to put a kit together for under $1500. Is this even possible, also what parts will he need to put one together. Any help at all is appreciated.
Thanks guys,
Ben

That sounds about right to me.. All you need are the basic parts which is a turbo, wastegate, oil lines, manifold and the intercooler. All the other things are just to tuned it and to make you ride look cool. You can buy them new or used on ebay. There many parts on ebay so good let..so good luck

well if he doesn't have a lot of money AND if this is his only car, I would suggest not to do it.

see that's the beauty of it, if something goes wrong mechanically his parents will pay for it. This money is some that they don't know about, and if something goes wrong they assume it's something that went wrong to a stock car
